So What is Actually Flushable

There has been a massive increase in the number of products that claim to be flushable over the past 10 years and it is putting huge pressure on the sewage networks causing blockages and overflows which are totally avoidable.

Flushable liners & wipes, sanitary products, kitchen paper towel, facial tissues, disposable household cleaning wipes, even dental floss and anything that is not toilet paper ……is NOT flushable! All of these products are are creating havoc for many councils all over the world as they get caught in the sewers, attract fat and then turn into fatbergs. Check out the fatberg epidemic ... https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2015/apr/21/huge-10-ton-fatberg-removed-chelsea-sewer-london

Manufacturers should not be claiming that their products are flushable because they simply do not break down during the process and ultimately if they get to the waste water treatment plant they will end up in landfill.
